The form of all paragraph tags is:

Looking at the <P> Tag

Following this line will be one (1) Paragraph tag of the form <P>:

Following this line will be three (3) Paragraph tags of the form <P>:

Most browsers do not recognize multiple tags of the form <P>.


Looking at the <BR> Tag

Following this line will be one (1) line BReak tag of the form <BR>:
Following this line will be three (3) line BReak tags of the form <BR>:


Many browsers will not recognize multiple tags of the form <BR>.
Note how your browser responds to multiple codes above, but also remember that other browsers may respond differently. It is generally considered good practice not to use more than one of these tags together.

Looking at the <HR> Tag

Following this line will be three (3) Horizontal Rule tags (horizontal lines) of the form <HR>:
